Comedian Glennis McCarthy created G.L.O.C. in November of 2010 to highlight her contemporaries in the NY comedy scene. The site soon expanded to include original articles and columns by women in the NY community and celebrated a massive launch party with over 300 attendees at 92Y Tribeca in 2011. With the relaunch, and accompanying Relaunch Party at Littlefield on May 2nd, 2012, the site fully realizes its mission of creating a platform to help connect and support women in comedy, and create opportunities where they might not have been there otherwise.

We currently have three shows running in New York: G.L.O.C. LIVE monthly at Littlefield, The GLOCDOWN monthly at The PIT, and GLOC the MIC weekly at the Ace Hotel.

G.L.O.C. Live is proud to take part in the Piccolo Spoleto Fringe Festival in Charleston, SC from May 29 – June 1, and a fall tour is currently in the works.
